Dave Jarecki & Michelle Glazer Reading

Join Portland poets Michelle Glazer and Dave Jarecki for the Studio Series Reading. An hour-long open mic will follow.

Date: Sunday, May 8
Time: 7pm
Location: Stonehenge Studios (3508 SW Corbett Ave., Portland, 97239).

Michele Glazer's new book Aggregate of Disturbances has been called "a stunning collection of meditations on language, landscape and loss." The poems in this book, her second, are never at rest - they push and pull at language, and offer images that seem to shift as soon as they are encountered. In Glazer's poems, "the full moon tells a story/a chronology of movement/toward the center and out again." She teaches at Portland State University.

Dave Jarecki owns Breakerboy Communications, a writing firm that helps businesses, individuals and non-profit organizations communicate through story. He facilitates writing workshops for youth and adult writers throughout the Greater Portland area. His fiction, non-fiction and poetry have appeared in a number of journals and publications, including Cloudbank Literary Magazine, INUR Magazine, Baseball Savvy, and Reed Magazine. He and his wife Courtney live in NE Portland with their newborn daughter, Lazadae.
