Formal Innovation Reading Series

Saturday, November 17—Indigo Editing & Publications kicks off a new reading series with an evening of Formal Innovation at Corkscrew Wine Bar (1665 SE Bybee Boulevard) featuring local authors Ryan Chin and James Bernard Frost.

Chin is the author of Without Rain There Can Be No Rainbows, a “multimedia memoir” set in New Zealand. Frost is the author of the zine-inspired A Very Minor Prophet, a novel set in Portland. Together, their work represents two very different examples of modern prose that pushes the boundaries of form.

The event is hosted by Indigo Editing & Publications, in partnership with Hawthorne Books. Music at 7 pm; readings at 7:30. Wine, beer and light fare will be available. There is no cover, and a prize will be awarded for the best innovation in formal attire.
